Deep in the old woodland of Elderfern, where mossy paths curl beneath ancient trees and even the smallest creatures are never overlooked, lives Thymina, the woodland’s devoted snail herder.
Gentle, patient and wonderfully kind, Thymina cares for a rather large family of snails. She raises the tiniest hatchlings, tends to the older ones, and has never been known to turn away a little lost snail in need of a home. Under Thymina’s watchful care, each one is loved as though it were the only snail in Elderfern.
She is deeply devoted to her husband, Tolin, and while he spends his days gathering mushrooms and woodland treasures, Thymina can usually be found slowly making her way along the forest paths with her curious little herd trailing behind.
Thymina also has an enormous sweet tooth and is rarely seen without a wildflower honey caramel tucked into her pocket—or, more often than not, already being enjoyed as she goes about her day.
She believes there is always room to care for one more...and always room for one more caramel.

Handcrafted in our British Columbia studio, Thymina is nestled within a genuine Pacific oyster shell, finished by hand with our signature gilded edge and suspended from a rich gold ribbon. Naturally irregular in shape, no two shells are ever quite alike, making each Thymina a one-of-a-kind little heirloom to be treasured for Christmases to come.
