Meet Miss Lucy, a darling little kitten with a most determined spirit, a fondness for pretty things, and a firm belief that she is quite grown up, thank you very much. Dressed in her loveliest holiday frock, Lucy does her very best to keep up with the older kitties, carefully imitating their graceful manners and joining in their conversations, even when she hasn't the faintest idea what they are discussing.
Christmas is an especially exciting time for Miss Lucy, who insists upon helping with all the important preparations. She takes great pleasure in arranging the stockings by the fireplace, inspecting the beautifully wrapped parcels, and ensuring that her beloved collection of dolls is properly dressed for the festivities. Although she would never admit it, she still whispers her Christmas wishes to each little doll before tucking them into bed.
And while Lucy tries terribly hard to behave like a sophisticated young lady, her kittenish curiosity occasionally gets the better of her. A dangling ribbon, a jingling bell, or the promise of a surprise in her Christmas stocking is quite enough to send her into a flurry of excitement. For beneath all her grown-up ambitions, Miss Lucy is still a sweet little kitten discovering the wonderful magic of Christmas for the very first time.
