She carefully polishes and catalogues each one and, if you have a little time, can tell you the story of nearly every thimble in her care.

Every ornament we create is handcrafted using a genuine Pacific oyster shell, making each one completely unique. No two shells are ever exactly alike. They naturally vary in shape, size, depth, colour, and character, which is part of what makes each ornament so special.

The ornament you receive will not be the exact shell shown in our photographs. Instead, we thoughtfully select a shell that beautifully complements the artwork, carefully pairing each design with the natural shape and contours of the shell to create a balanced and harmonious keepsake. While every ornament may differ slightly in appearance, you can be assured that the same attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality goes into every piece we create. Our 2026 Holiday Ornament Collection is handmade from start to finish in our British Columbia studio. While the artwork remains consistent within each design, every oyster shell is naturally unique in shape, texture, and size, ranging from approximately 3.5 to 5.5 inches long.

Each ornament is adorned with antique, vintage-inspired, or whimsical holiday imagery, then carefully hand-gilded along the edges and reverse using our proprietary 14k gold painting medium. They also include a burnished gold double faced satin ribbon for hanging. The result is a miniature work of art and a future heirloom to be treasured for many holiday seasons to come.
