Deep in the old woodland of Elderfern lives Axon, the woodland’s jolly brewmaster and keeper of its much-loved little gnome brew pub.
A true wizard with whatever Elderfern has to offer, Axon can turn almost anything into a delectable woodland beer. Berries, herbs, roots, blossoms and even the occasional mushroom have found their way into one of his curious brews.
You’ll rarely see Axon far from his trusty tasting bucket ..... and yes, it really is a bucket. He considers a tiny tasting cup entirely inadequate for such important work.
Axon’s door is always open. Wander into his little brew pub and he’ll pull up a chair, pour you a pint or two and bring out fresh cheese and warm panbread baked on his ancient wood stove. Before long, the stories begin, followed very quickly by the laughter.
Good food and good beer matter to Axon, but good company matters most. No one ever leaves his table without a story to remember and a belly sore from laughing.
Axon would be delighted to find a little place in your holiday home, hanging from the Christmas tree, tucked amongst a garland or nestled into a favourite holiday wreath.
Handcrafted in our British Columbia studio, Axon is nestled within a genuine Pacific oyster shell, finished by hand with our signature gilded edge and suspended from a rich gold ribbon. Naturally irregular in shape, no two shells are ever quite alike, making each Axon a one-of-a-kind little heirloom to be treasured for Christmases to come.
